She is an Alumna of  Webster High School, Minden, LA and  Southern University, Baton Rouge, LA.  She is Doctor Laura Rabb Morgan, EdD, and grew up in Minden. LA,  just 2 doors from my house on High Street in the Crichton Hill Community.  Although she was quite a few years younger than me,  I knew her as the little girl that her mother would call her by the name of LAURA MAE.  
I am so proud of her and the outstanding accomplishments which have made her the lady she is today, worthy of  being here, beyond her thoughts of "I Was Not Suppose To Be Here".  But God saw to it that "THE HOPE TRAIN" arrived on time and that she was able to write this very interesting book of memoirs of the journey along the way to success beyond a doubt.  Thank you Laura for writing this book and pouring out your heart to the world, telling it like it was, and not ashamed of where you came from and what you and your family went through many years ago.  I certainly  enjoyed the book and also learned a few things about Minden that I missed after leaving Minden at the age of 18 and spending a 21 year career in the United States Air Force, never returning to live there, but always enjoyed my return home for visits.  I know there must be at least one more book that you will write and I hope to still be around to purchase and enjoy it as well. Congratulations LAURA and I wish you much more success.
