About Webster High School
Webster High School, Minden, LA is now a defunct high school due to desegregation. The historically black high school was closed forever at the end of the 1973-1974 school year. Therefore the Class Of 1974 was the LAST class to graduate from the school. The remaining classes (9th, 10th & 11th grades) which would have been the graduating classes of 1975, 1976 & 1977, were transferred to the newly integrated MINDEN HIGH SCHOOL, which had previously been the city's segregated WHITE ONLY school. Therefore WEBSTER HIGH SCHOOL was closed forever. But to the WHITE and the BLUE -
